LETS MEET OUR AMARILLO TEAM! (Trey, Shanda, Richard, Emily, & Emma)
Trey Bates (Owner / Trainer) – Trey started training in 2018 and opened Bomb City K9 in July of 2019, he is just a good ol country boy from Boise City Oklahoma with a love for dogs and a passion for what he does. Trey has worked with some of the most difficult behavioral cases in this area and continues to devote much of his time and attention to the work he loves! Trey caringly guides each trainer and provides an effective training environment for the success of each pup that becomes family here at Bomb City K9 Training.
Shanda Bates (Owner / Trainer)- Shanda assisted with the opening of BCK9 and while working in another field has over the years, assisted on and off with the work done at Bomb City K9. In September 2021 Shanda was able to devote her full attention to assisting Trey with the family business as it grows. Shanda now devotes her time to training and handling day to day operations within the facility while getting to work with and love, the pups of BCK9!
Richard Herrian (Trainer) – Richard joined the BCK9 team in July of 2019 and has been with Bomb City K9 since it began. Growing up on a ranch Richard is no stranger to animals and found a passion for training dogs. Richard continues to show his enjoyment for the job by providing love and respect for the animals he works with. Richard continues to grow with every dog he trains and has been a valuable member of the BCK9 team!
Emma Bates (Junior Trainer) – Emma started to learn to learn to train at Bomb City K9 upon it’s opening in 2019. She has since become a junior trainer with us assisting during weekends and summer months when she is not attending school. Emma’s compassion and patience with the pups she assist our trainers with is endless and we look forward to seeing what she can do on her own as a trainer some day!
BCK9 Lubbock Trainer / Alyssa Cottrell
Sadly our Lubbock facility has closed, no worries; our wonderful trainer from Amarillo, Alyssa, has moved to Lubbock. Alyssa began apprenticing in April of 2021 and quickly became one of our best trainers here in Amarillo until August of 2023. She moved to Lubbock to be closer to family and has been training from her home for BCK9 over a year now!
While with Alyssa, your pup will get to experience an in-home type training in which they begin to learn the types of boundaries, and mannerisms desired out of your pup in the home.
